When they arrived, I immediately noticed the color profile; truly, the amber color is amazing, just as advertised. I was keen to see how they’d perform as daytime running lights. Installation was straightforward enough, and initially, I was impressed with the aesthetic appeal.
However, the performance as a dedicated fog light is where things got tricky. Other buyers seem to feel similarly; while it looks fantastic as a decoration, some are finding the light output itself isn't quite bright enough for heavy fog conditions. I did experience an issue where one of the bulbs started blinking almost immediately, which was a real letdown right out of the box.
On a brighter note, I have had previous issues with shipping from this vendor, but this time I actually received my order, and the light bulbs themselves, when functioning correctly, provided that rich, nice amber tone I was hoping for. Despite the brightness concerns, for pure aesthetic purposes, the color output on this product is top-tier. It’s great that this is a 12V DC setup, making it compatible with many standard systems.
So, who should jump on buying these? If you are solely looking to upgrade your vehicle's look with a vibrant, deep amber running light and aren't relying heavily on them for visibility enhancement in severe weather, these LED bulbs might work for you. If you need maximum illumination for actual fog penetration, you might want to weigh the mixed feedback regarding brightness.
For me, the aesthetic win is significant, but buyers should be mindful of the potential performance variability with these H8/H11/H16JP bulbs.
